Best Overall Versace Cologne
1. Versace Pour Homme
Best for: Everyday Wear
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Aromatic Fougere
Pros: Extremely Versatile, Pulls Compliments, Affordable
Cons: Smells similar to other colognes
While Eros is the king, we have to give the nod to Versace Pour Homme as the best overall Versace fragrance. The reason is because it checks all the boxes. It is affordable and easy to find. It is versatile and easy to wear. While it does great in warmer weather, it still works all year long. In addition to all of that, it has good performance.
Versace Pour Homme is a mass appealing fragrance that is still popular today.
It smells fresh like bergamot with a creamy tonka/vanilla note. It also has a mild floral scent along with bright citrus notes like neroli. It is clean and masculine smelling, and it will work in any setting or environment.
What really sets this fragrance apart is its versatility. You will see the other colognes on this list are great, but have more limitations.
Best Versace Cologne For Summer
2. Versace Man Eau Fraiche
Best for: Summer Wear
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Woody Aquatic
Pros: Works great in hot weather, low cost
Cons: Not the best outside of hot summer months
When you first spray it, you will smell notes of lemon, spices, and cedar. It is super fresh smelling. The starfruit adds a unique twist. What makes this so good is how it projects off of your skin during high heat. The hot weather will help you get compliments with Eau Fraiche.
For warmer months that get really hot, this is one of the best choices.
The downside is that is not the best choice during fall and winter. It is also a casual scent.
It can be worn at any time, but there are so many better choices for cooler weather and non-casual settings. That is where the limitations are for this fragrance.
Best Versace Cologne For Clubbing
3. Versace Eros
Best for: Going to a club or party
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Aromatic Fougere
Pros: Compliment getter, women love to smell it on men
Cons: Too sweet and cloying for some guys.
The number one selling cologne for Versace is Versace Eros. It smells incredible. It is minty fresh, with citrus and vanilla. These 3 notes will give you a good idea of how this smells.
This is a casual and fun fragrance, and it will garner lots of compliments. It has good performance in both projection and longevity.
While it has a so many good qualities, it has some drawbacks. It can be too youthful and playful for older guys. This scent is perfect for drawing compliments at a party. But, some guys may find it a bit too young smelling due to its overly sweet vanilla note.

Best Affordable Versace Cologne
4. Versace Blue Jeans Eau de Toilette
Best for: Budget shoppers
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Aromatic Fougere
Pros: Cheap price, inoffensive smelling
Cons: Smells dated to some
The biggest advantage to Versace Blue Jeans is the low cost, along with the name “Versace.” Although it is inexpensive, it is somewhat complex. It can smell sweet and powdery like a cola. It can also smell masculine, floral, and woodsy. Lavender is also a key note.
Because it was released in 1994, it has a classic old school smell to it. Some guys do not like older smelling colognes. Other guys will find the scent nostalgic. It will remind them of their youthful days in high school or as a teen.
Best Of The Rest
5. Versace Pour Homme Dylan Blue
Best for: Smelling clean and fresh
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Aromatic Fougere
Pros: Versatile and gets compliments
Cons: Similar to other blue fragrances
When it comes to blue fragrances, Versace Dylan Blue is a staple. This is a fresh, shower gel scent. It also has some sweet fruity notes. It would be higher on our list, but there are so many other colognes on the market that are similar. This makes it not unique.
The opening is fresh and vibrant. When it dries down, it becomes a little more warm. It smells great and deserves its high spot on our list.
6. Versace The Dreamer
Best for: More Mature Men
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family: Amber Fougere
Pros: Unique tobacco fragrance, low cost
Cons: Reformulated version not as good as original
Versace The Dreamer is a classic and unique tobacco based cologne. What I like is how different it is. It has characteristics of a soapy barbershop fragrance and a tobacco fragrance.
The lavender gives it that fougere smell, but it dries down to a woody smell with tobacco notes. That is what makes this so unique. There are some floral and powdery scents as well.
7. Versace Eros Flame
Best for: Spring and Fall Weather
Concentration: Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Family: Woody Spicy
Pros: Great longevity and performance
Cons: It has a very strong opening and can be overpowering. Similar to original Eros EdT
Eros Flame is a flanker to the ever popular Eros EdT. It definitely has a resemblance here, but it opens with a more orange citrus. There is also a prominent note of rosemary.
We really like the spicy and pepper notes that come out after the opening. If you like Versace Eros, but want a more mature and spicy version, then you will want to grab a bottle of Eros Flame. Don’t get me wrong. It is still a youthful smelling cologne, just a little more refined that the original.
This is also a performance beast. The longevity and projection on this are outstanding.
8. Versace Eros Eau de Parfum
Best for: Guys looking for a less sweet version of Eros EdT
Concentration: Eau de Toilette
Fragrance Family:
Pros: Similar to Eros EdT, more suited for older guys.
Cons: Not as strong as the EdT
If you are a fan of Versace Eros, then you will also like Versace Eros Eau de Parfum. This version is a more refined and mature version of Eros. It still has an element of vanilla sweetness, but it is not as strong as the EdT for that note.
Another interesting change is the use of a candy apple note. It smells really good, and it does not have that cloying sweetness that comes with the EdT. Also due to it being an EdP, it does not project as well as the EdT. So, this is more suited for a nice date instead of going to the club to meet women.
Versace Eros Eau de Parfum is a great fragrance for guys over 30 who like the EdT but don’t want a super sweet cologne.
9. Versace Pour Homme Oud Noir
Best for: Formal Events
Concentration: Eau de Parfum
Fragrance Family: Amber Woody
Pros: Low cost Oud fragrance, smells like a niche fragrance
Cons: Smells similar to Tom Ford Oud Wood
If you like Tom Ford Oud Wood, then you will also enjoy Versace Oud Noir. It is very similar and less expensive. It smells masculine, dark, and woody. It definitely has that Oud skunky smell, but it is toned down. This would be a great starter fragrance if you are looking at Oud colognes.
This has a great balance of funky woods, spices, and sweet cardamom. Such a great fragrance for a mature gentleman on a night out.

Other Options
If you do not think you can find a Versace fragrance that you like, their are several options that are close.
If you want something like Eros, then a solid choice is Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male. It is sweet smelling and it is great for going out to meet women.
If you do not think the two tobacco colognes from Versace are what you would like, then check out Burberry London. It is more mass appealing and smooth.
How These Were Tested
We individually test each fragrance by wearing for a minimum of 3 days. For these Versace colognes, they have been worn many times because I enjoy wearing each of these.
For testing, I either own a full bottle, or I used a sample vial.
